Rag wreath workshop – 18th March 10 – 12 £20 pp
Of all the workshops we offer here at Locally Produced for You our rag rug making workshop is one that seems to evoke the most nostalgia. I have had many a customer tell me how their grandma’s used to make them or they remember them in family members houses when they were a child.
For those of you who aren’t too familiar ‘rag rugs or rag mats are hard wearing rugs made out of rags cut into strips and pushed or pulled through a hessian backing’ *
I am delighted that we have a wonderful lady ( seen in the picture below ) who teaches our rag rug making workshops – Sarah of Ollie Bobs as well as rag rug workshops we have also used the same technique to decorate hessian bags.
Our forthcoming workshop with Sarah is a spring wreath making workshop using strips of fabric like you would to make a rag rug and attaching them to a wire frame to create the wreath, once finished you can then embellish it with extras to make it beautifully spring like. If you would like to find out more just pop to our Spring wreath page here.
We hope you can make it 🙂 – book your place here
