Are the products you stock all Locally Produced ?
Yes. I am so fortunate that there are so many incredibly talented artists / makers who live nearby. We have products from artists that pretty much live right on our doorstep here in West Bridgford. We do stretch a little further now so as well as Nottinghamshire makers we also take stock from artists from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire but the majority of our makers are still Nottinghamshire based.
I make products and would like to stock your shop, how can I join Locally Produced for You ?
We are always looking for new and exciting artwork / products in particular personalised gifts as this is our speciality. If you think your work would fit nicely in our shop you can get in touch via our sell with us page and we will get back in touch with you as soon as we can.
I am interested in ordering a personalised gift how does this work ?
We love our personalised gifts and are very lucky to work with such professional and lovely makers that really go the extra mile to make sure the product you order is made with love and care.
So how it works is you can choose your item here online or pop into our gift shop – 29/31 Central Avenue, West Bridgford. Nottingham NG2 5GQ to see samples of our personalised gifts close up. We take all the details necessary to create your item including full payment and relay the information to the maker who will then deliver your chosen item into the shop for collection or post it directly out to you.
Our personalised gifts are non refundable unless a mistake is made on our part so do make sure at the time of ordering you have checked all the details carefully.
Do you offer workshops in the shop ?
We do offer quite a diverse range of workshops which is lovely. They are designed so you can have a try at a new craft without having had any experience. We have so many lovely compliments of our makers work we thought it would be a great idea to ask the makers to teach their craft to you. I delighted to now offer crochet/stamp carving/glass/ceramic/rag rug wreaths & paper wreath making workshops. Alongside these workshops we always have a paper craft on our kid’s table for 50 p whenever we are open so just pop in with little ones and we also run a drop workshop for kid’s for £3.50 during the holidays.
You can see our full calendar of workshops here
Are all of the products that you sell listed on your website ?
No , if you have visited our gift shop you will be amazed at just how many products we have for sale, it is often referred to as an aladdins cave !
All of our workshops are online here , and we are spending a lot of time adding new products to the site each day so the online collection is growing so do keep popping back to see what is new ! It is also worth popping back as we are growing our online only products too which you won’t find in the shop. If you are social media savvy give us a like on our Facebook page / Instagram page as we also post all new stock that comes into the shop on there too.
We also send out a newsletter each month with new products and workshop news so if you would like to be the first to hear you can sign up here
I have heard about your shop, where exactly are you ?
Like a hidden treasure trove you do have to look for us ! Whilst we are right in the centre of West Bridgford you could easily miss us or have walked past several times and not have known we exist. So is you come into West Bridgford we can be found on Central Avenue – look for Iceland and we are across the road right above the Health Store. For anyone who remembers one of the first cafe’s in Bridgford – Sue and Sues we are in the same space. We do not have our own entrance off the street so you need to walk straight through the Health Store right to the back and through the door then come up the stairs and we are on the first floor. If you look up from the street and see our light on we are in so come up and say hello !
Why are your opening hours different from the usual gift shops ?
I opened the first Locally Produced for You shop ( above Hair Scene for those of your who may remember ) two weeks after my twins started primary school with their sister already in year 2. With 3 small children at school to be able to open the shop at all I new it would have to fit with being able to drop and pick them up from school – hence the opening hours 9.30 – 2.45 pm. During school holidays my mum and husband help so the hours do alter. I will always endeavour to let you know of any changes via our website, via our Facebook page and on our door at the shop but sometimes if the kid’s are poorly it may be at short notice.
Please do not take my lack of usual opening hours as a lack of commitment to you or the shop I am very dedicated to both and I will do my very best to give you the best customer service. Outside of our normal hours I am contactable so do feel free to get in touch, the best way is via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or through our contacts page , I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I also try to be as flexible as I can so I can leave orders for you with the Health Store to make it easier to collect and if you live locally ( West Bridgford, Lady Bay, Edwalton or Gamston) I am happy to drop orders round to you too so again just get in touch.

- collect your item from our gift shop
- Have it delivered free of charge if you live in West Bridgford, Gamston, Lady Bay or Edwalton
- Pay our flat rate of £1 for cards , £2.50 for products or £3.50 for larger items to be delivered to all other UK addresses
